WSP has opened doors to comprehensive training, allowing me to dive into multidisciplinary tasks on infrastructure projects and collaborate with talented professionals from diverse backgrounds worldwide. My teammates are incredibly supportive and collaborative, always eager to share their knowledge and experience. They empower me to take on projects that I'm passionate about and engage with various stakeholders as a professional engineer. WSP is an organisation that truly values personal and professional growth, enriching my knowledge with numerous training and development opportunities. This ensures I stay at the cutting edge of the industry and am always Future Ready. WSP is my platform to explore, learn, and thrive as a professional.
2. What do you enjoy about your job?
The atmosphere! At WSP, we have a supportive environment that fosters both personal and professional growth. I get to meet people from different teams and disciplines through various activities, building friendships in a relaxed setting. This relationship enhances collaboration across departments, especially on cross-discipline projects.
3. What do you find exciting about engineering?
Tackling engineering challenges is exhilarating. For instance, I was in charge of the investigation on the severe flooding incident in Wong Tai Sin and optimised the proposed civil infrastructure following the extreme rainfall event in September 2023. Despite the intense scrutiny, I managed to complete the investigation efficiently, which gave me a tremendous sense of accomplishment. Working on infrastructure projects also helps me understand the needs of local communities. By organising Design Thinking workshops with locals, I can develop design schemes that are more user-friendly. I eagerly anticipate feedback from local users once the facilities are commissioned.
