Last month, WSP has earned a merit award in the Multinational Corporation category at the Taiwan Corporate Sustainability Award organised by Taiwan Institute for Sustainable Energy (TAISE). With the aim of recognising outstanding achievements and contributions in the fields of sustainable development, ESG investment, and the United Nations’ 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), the award evaluates the overall ESG performance of the nominees. WSP was the only engineering consultancy firm among all the awarded multinational corporations.
WSP has also been awarded the Green Level certification by the Taiwan Alliance for Net Zero Emissions. Founded by TAISE and leading Taiwanese enterprises from various sectors in 2021, the alliance advocates the private sector of Taiwan to achieve 100% net zero emission in office operations by 2030, and in production facilities by 2050. We attained the certification through our concrete science-based greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions reduction targets, approved by the Science Based Targets initiative (SBTi), as we pledge to achieve net zero emissions across our value chain by 2040.
These recognitions reflect our unwavering commitment to innovation, sustainability, and addressing today’s pressing global challenges, as we continue to set by example and assist both public and private sectors in Taiwan and the region in transforming ESG strategies into actions.
