China and Meinhardt, has attained the Overall Best Award at The Association of
Consulting Engineers of Hong Kong (ACEHK) Annual Awards for Fire Services
Department Pak Shing Kok Married Quarters, highlighting our commitment in achieving
engineering design excellence and construction technology innovation.
Now in its 7th edition, the awards recognise
building projects that deliver engineering excellence and highlight practices
and management of successful projects.
As the first public works project adopting modular
integrated construction (MiC) in Hong Kong, Fire Services Department Pak Shing
Kok Married Quarters consists of five domestic blocks with total 81 storeys,
providing 648 units in total with ancillary facilities including multifunction
room, covered walkway and recreation spaces.
WSP provided MEP engineering and BEAM consultancy for the
project. With our tailored design, each MiC module was pre-installed with
sanitary fittings together with the water supply and drainage connection,
kitchen cabinet, concealed conduits, lighting switches, socket outlets and
miniature circuit breaker wiring distribution inside the kitchen.
