1. What did you enjoy the most about working at WSP during your internship?
My supervisors were very attentive and answered any question I had. They also made sure that I understood how to carry out specific jobs. I also had to frequently utilise my critical thinking skills to solve various design problems. Therefore, I learnt a lot from working here. I had the honor and opportunity to work on significant multinational projects, which I am extremely grateful for because these projects provided me with a lot of exposure to the industry.
2. What was the most valuable aspect of your internship experience, and why?
The most valuable aspect of my internship experience was gaining practical experience and obtaining a deeper understanding of the industry and how our projects impact and contribute to society.
3. How did you interpret the culture of inclusion and diversity at WSP?
My team was very inclusive, our team frequently communicated and conversed with each other. They gave me a lot of advice by sharing their professional insight and experience with the industry.
4. What skills did you learn or improve upon during your internship?
In my internship, I gained a lot of knowledge in the engineering field regarding design, coordination, building regulations and codes, etc. Additionally, I gained various technical skills in software such as AutoCAD and Revit, which will be very helpful to me in the future.
5. How did your mentor/supervisor provide guidance and support throughout your internship?
During my internship, my supervisors provided me with a lot of guidance and support. I gained a lot of knowledge and now have a comprehensive understanding of MEP systems. They were always willing to respond to my inquiries, and also organised training sessions to help us expand our knowledge and better grasp our responsibilities.
