The extensive community services the WSP Hong Kong office delivered last year were acknowledged in four project and individual categories of the Construction Industry Volunteer Award Scheme 2023. The Construction Industry Volunteer Awards Presentation Ceremony 2023 was held at Zero Carbon Park on 16 July. Our Asia CEO Ivy Kong attended the ceremony to receive the awards with colleagues from our corporate social responsibility (CSR) committee.
Our decade-long collaboration with The Neighbourhood Advice-Action Council (NAAC) earned us Merits for Excellence in Construction Industry Volunteering Special Project and Collaboration. The long-term special project, Dragon Boat Race with the Intellectually Disabled, brings our volunteers and the disabled young adults together for some fun time, deepening our understanding of how strong and capable they could be. Our merit-winning partnership also served the elderly through a number of activities, including a fun session with Dr Pets and a visit to the elderly singletons and doubletons living in a remote community of northwestern coast of Lantau Island.
