Large-Scale Reuse as EcoDataCenter Builds the Data Centres of the Future

At the Kvarnsveden industrial site in Borlänge, one of Sweden’s largest reuse projects is taking shape. WSP has carried out an extensive feasibility study of the dismantling of the PM12 industrial building. This study supports EcoDataCenter in managing material flows together with local stakeholders to enable more sustainable construction.
This project shows that large-scale reuse is not only possible – it is a key to the future of construction. Through data-driven analysis and close collaboration with EcoDataCenter, we contribute to solutions that make a real difference for the climate
EcoDataCenter is transforming the former paper mill at Kvarnsveden into a state-of-the-art facility for next-generation data centres. Projects of this scale offer valuable lessons for increasing reuse within the construction and civil engineering industry
