Two floors of the new tower are designated to women’s and infants’ services with features and amenities to provide exceptional comfort. The floors include 18 private labor, delivery and recovery rooms, 50 private postpartum rooms, two C-section operating rooms, 18 private special care nursery rooms, including six rooms that can accommodate twin births, advanced infant security system, a dedicated lactation area and lounge area, and maternal fetal medicine services for high-risk pregnancies.
The Institute for Bone and Joint Health has a dedicated orthopedic floor providing a full rehabilitation clinic. The Institute provides advanced medical technology in its operating suites, including high-definition video allowing for the most minimally invasive surgical techniques, a dedicated rehabilitation gym, and a full kitchen and bath for comprehensive occupational therapy.
The new tower houses the Sidney Kimmel Cancer Center, expanding advanced oncology services on the Sibley campus. The Cancer Center includes physicians from the world-renowned Johns Hopkins Hospital system and a radiation oncology facility that provides leading-edge therapies, enhanced vitals/phlebotomy space that features eight bays/stations, and an infusion center with 34 private rooms with color therapy.
Sibley’s new Emergency Department is designed to provide fast, expert and convenient care. It features the largest permanent decontamination facility in the area, a new fast-track area and all-private treatment rooms.
