A peer discussion on nature-related decision-making and implementation
Nature is increasingly becoming a boardroom issue. Investors, regulators, customers and stakeholders are placing growing expectations on organizations to understand, manage and reduce their impacts and dependencies on nature.
Many organizations have already begun that journey through biodiversity strategies and nature-related disclosures. The challenge now is identifying practical ways to prioritize investments and accelerate implementation to create business value, strengthen resilience and support nature-positive outcomes.
During Climate Week NYC, WSP will convene leaders to an invitation-only workshop focused on how organizations are moving beyond disclosure to embed nature into business decisions across operations and value chains. Speakers from Science-Based Targets for Nature (SBTN), the Taskforce on Nature-related Financial Disclosures (TNFD) and United Nations Global Compact (UNGC) will set the stage for peer-to-peer discussions designed to share lessons learned and explore practical pathways for navigating the rapidly evolving nature landscape.
What to expect
After presentations from SBTN, TNFD and UNGC, attendees will hear from business leaders at the forefront of nature target-setting and implementation, including Musholm, Danish Pelagic Producer Organisation (DPPO) and Biomar.
Participants will then engage in collaborative roundtable discussions about topics such as implementation challenges, lessons learned, data and technology considerations, and practical approaches for integrating nature into strategy, operations and value-chain decisions.
Why attend
Designed for leaders responsible for advancing sustainability, resilience and long-term business performance, attendees will gain:
- A clearer understanding of how nature-related impacts and dependencies influence business performance and risk
- Practical approaches for moving from assessment and disclosure toward implementation across strategy, procurement, investment and operational decisions
- Greater awareness of how data, digital tools and traceability can support nature-related decision-making
- Lessons learned from organizations already advancing nature target-setting and implementation efforts
