Bolstered by our internal AI Challenge — designed to uncover new solutions that would benefit client needs — this idea became a reality and ultimately won the competition.
The interactive web app uses powerful data analytics and machine-learning to predict dissolved metal concentrations in pit lakes. It’s not just a tool for recovery; it’s also designed to reduce mine waste, closure costs and maintenance expenses for large-scale mining projects. Several clients are already poised to benefit, with millions in lost revenue potentially recoverable from trapped resources.
