NEW YORK — WSP, a leading engineering, environment and professional services consultancy, recently earned several notable accolades that reflect the firm’s tremendous social impact, revenue growth and ongoing commitment to environmental, societal and governance (ESG) issues.
Among this recognition was WSP’s inclusion in Fortune magazine’s Change the World 2023 list, which recognizes companies that create positive social impact through activities that are integrated into their core business strategies.
The Fortune Change the World list considers four key factors: Measurable social impact, business results, innovation and corporate integration of shared strategies. Judges prioritize companies with annual revenues exceeding $1 billion.
WSP is transforming its business strategy with a bold target to generate more than 50 percent of income from “clean revenue” sources – income from activities that have a positive environmental impact.
Recent WSP projects that are making a positive impact in the U.S. include Moynihan Train Hall and Farley Building in New York, the Everglades C-44 Stormwater Treatment Area in Florida and the Mid-Coast Trolley Blue Line Extension in California.
WSP also ranked within TIME magazine’s prestigious list of the World’s Best Companies for 2023. This list identifies top-performing companies worldwide in terms of their impact on investors, employees and the planet. Companies were identified based on employee satisfaction, revenue growth and sustainability.
Also in September, the firm was highlighted in the Global Competitor Analysis Profile Series that was published by Environment Analyst, an international community for the environmental services space. This latest series highlighted 32 of the leading environment and sustainable consultancies worldwide.
In July, WSP was featured in the Verdantix Green Quadrant: Climate Change Consulting 2023 report, which provides a benchmark of climate change consultants offering strategy, technical and implementation services.
WSP was among six top firms in the Leaders’ Quadrant demonstrating the most comprehensive climate change consulting capabilities. The report recognizes WSP for excelling at asset-level demonstration and climate risk management and mitigation.
