Doug McFarling was born in Spain while his father was stationed there with the US Navy. He spent his formative years in Oregon and California, where he developed an early connection to the natural world, camping on the Pacific Coast and backpacking in Yosemite National Park. Professionally, Doug has more than 30 years of experience assembling teams to provide environmental planning, impact analysis, and hazard mitigation services to federal agencies and communities nationwide.
