As renewable energy expands, dynamic conditions like shifting winds, evolving cloud cover and nighttime transitions are becoming part of the new energy landscape. These natural variations present exciting opportunities for innovation and adaptability — especially in high-demand regions like Texas, where the Electric Reliability Council of Texas (ERCOT) is setting new records for peak energy use. To help meet this growing demand, independent power producer Wattbridge Energy, LLC, commissioned the 384-MW Remy Jade Generating Station — an important step toward a more reliable energy future.
Our team partnered with Wattbridge and its chosen peaking-power solutions provider PROENERGY Services on the installation of eight aeroderivative combustion turbine generators (CTGs) at the Remy Jade Generating Station. We provided engineering and detailed design for the balance of plant systems including grading and drainage, erosion control, foundations, structural framing for access and supports, mechanical piping systems, electrical power and control systems and instrumentation.
Built for reliability
At Remy Jade, advanced components like 48-MW natural gas-fired CTGs, generator step-up transformers, CTG auxiliary skids, selective catalytic reduction (SCR) systems, water treatment and storage and robust electrical power and distribution systems work together to ensure consistent, reliable energy delivery. Every element, from compressed air systems to the pre-engineered metal building (PEMB), plays a role in supporting grid stability and performance.
The Remy Jade Generating Station plays a vital role in complementing renewable energy — stepping in seamlessly to ensure reliable power.
