Located near the Civic Center in the Theater District of San Francisco, the new, three-story facility houses a 750-seat theater, rehearsal spaces, café, administrative offices, and an entrance lobby with ground floor retail.

Interior concrete walls that form the enclosure around the auditorium are uniformly washed with light. In the same lobby, a suspended steel stair is highlighted by grazing light down the filigreed stainless steel supports.
At the interior of the auditorium, the interplay of house and theatrical lighting allows for multiple lighting options that support the goals of SFJAZZ, a non-profit arts organization.
