Projects today often start as nothing more than a sketch on a napkin and quickly ramp up to ground breaking and foundation pours before the owner and architects vision is fully vetted and coordinated among all trades.

To this end, we have long practiced partnership and team effort as critical aspects of steel detailing. Through experience and innovative thinking we help owners, architects and engineers achieve their visions.

Our team stands out in addressing the potential needs of an owner, architect or general contractor by drawing on experience and innovation. For example, an owner deciding to rethink the use of certain spaces throughout a building may call on us to address any new engineering concerns by utilizing our model. Issues or redesign can be made and compared with the architect’s building envelope. Finally, if the changes are made after erection has started we can address the issues of having them incorporated onto the detail drawings and work with the fabricator and erector to minimize their cost and time impacts.

We understand the complexities of large structures. Working with other team members we have aided in design and detailing assistance for structures such as One World Trade Center and the Hearst Tower.

Using our experience to promote innovation and efficiency when issues arise allows WSP USA to incorporate other team members in ways that enhance the outcome of the project and even trim time from its completion.
