To meet growing consumer demand for healthier yogurts, our client needed to expand production capabilities at an existing facility to accommodate a new line of Greek-style natural yogurts.
Initially engaged as the lead process engineer, we quickly expanded our role to encompass project management services. Our team's expertise and dedication allowed us to facilitate both internal and external engineering resources, enabling our client to focus on other strategic priorities.
In the heart of operations
The installation occurred in the heart of an operational facility, where existing equipment and crowded spaces required careful planning. Our team designed and implemented the new line in phases, ensuring that production continued with minimal disruption. This phased approach facilitated better coordination with structural, mechanical and electrical resources, optimizing the use of the available space.
3D modeling was crucial to successful phasing. In a production space already housing other equipment, the detailed 3D visualization allowed our team to design equipment and piping for the new production line around the existing infrastructure without interrupting operations. This technique not only streamlined construction but also significantly reduced costs.
