Overall View
Site circulation is differentiated from parking areas using pedestrian-scale bollards and visual accents.
Entry Portal
The entry portal is softly illuminated behind the great seal of California to provide visitors with directional orientation.
Entry Canopy
Exterior fixtures are clean and modern, responding to the architectural lines and aesthetic.
Interior Lobby
The entry lobby is uplighted using concealed slot coves to create a glowing exterior effect transmitted through the slot windows.
Slot Windows
Exterior slot windows form a feature of the main facade. Luminance of the architectural surfaces on the interior and exterior of the lobby is balanced.
Interior Circulation
General circulation in the courthouse continues the use of glowing lines established by the pedestrian bollards on the exterior.
Courtroom
Courtroom lighting takes advantage of natural illumination during the day and supports a beacon effect at night.
Street View
Facility maintenance is simplified through a networked lighting control system with preset scene selection and daylight harvesting for maximal energy efficiency.
