“François is recognized as a people-oriented leader with a strong focus on clients and employees, as well as a solid understanding of the industry and market trends,” said Marie-Claude Dumas, President and CEO of WSP in Canada. “He has the strategic insight as an industry leader to grow our Property and Buildings business to the next level.”
François is very familiar with the industry, with 30 years of experience in Property and Buildings consulting. He was previously at SNC-Lavalin, where he was Regional Vice President of Engineering for the National Capital Region (Eastern Ontario and Western Quebec), North-Western Quebec and Atlantic Regions. Most recently, he was Vice-President of the Public Sector for Canada, managing the strategic growth of a portfolio of federal clients.
This is François’ second term with WSP. After WSP acquired his firm in 2008, he was made Regional Director, Buildings, for the National Capital & Eastern Ontario region. Before leaving the company in 2016, he was the Bid Director of the CENTRUS Center Block Rehabilitation project.
“I’m looking forward to reconnecting with familiar faces and getting to know new colleagues,” said Lemay. “Heading into a new strategic cycle at WSP, we have a lot of great opportunities for growth, and I can’t wait for this journey to begin.”
Lemay holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa. He is a licensed engineer in the provinces of Ontario and Quebec.
