Canadian Leadership Team
Based in Montreal, Quebec, Marie-Claude Dumas is WSP in Canada’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Since joining WSP in January 2020, Ms. Dumas has served as Global Director, Major Projects and Programs/Executive Market Leader – Quebec, working closely with our Global and Canadian operations and leadership teams. A member of the Ordre des ingénieurs du Québec, Ms. Dumas brings a proven track record as a global engineering and construction executive with over 20 years of multi-disciplinary management and consulting experience acquired with several multinationals.
George Niktaris is the Chief Financial Officer responsible for advising and leading financial and strategic matters in partnership with the Chief Executive Officer and executive leadership team. He is highly operational and results-oriented and a seasoned executive with 20 years of experience building forward-looking teams and driving significant turnarounds in businesses. He possesses strong business acumen and understanding of the engineering and construction industry, having led financial portfolios in various capacities at COWI North America, SNC-Lavalin and Cegertec WorleyParsons prior to joining WSP. As the CFO, George plays a critical role in establishing and elevating WSP in Canada’s value proposition to the Canadian and international marketplace.
Janet possesses close to 25 years of legal and management experience in the private sector. Most recently, she held the position of Senior Vice-President, Legal, at a global company, leading the legal function in major infrastructure, power and transportation projects across the globe.
Janet holds a Bachelor of Civil Law and Bachelor of Law (Common Law) from McGill University.
Zoe Nutten brings deep expertise in the areas of People Strategy and Management from a career rooted in Strategy and Operations. This includes workplace transformation, setting talent strategy, broadening employee development programs, professional development and resource staffing. As Chief People Officer, Ms. Nutten helps drive WSP’s culture to higher performance levels through partnership, collaboration and innovation on critical strategic human capital issues.
Pierre Pichet joined WSP in February 2023 as Executive Vice President, Project Delivery. He is responsible for ensuring world-class excellence and leadership in WSP's project delivery. He brings to WSP his rich experience in strategic business transformation, financial planning, project delivery excellence and strategic sourcing, gained in the various executive leadership roles he has held at SNC-Lavalin over the past 18 years. Pierre holds a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering from Polytechnique Montréal.
Charles-Olivier Bernard is Senior Vice President, Commercial and Risk for WSP in Canada. Based out of Montréal, Québec, Charles-Olivier oversees commercial, risk, subcontractor management and information technology for WSP's Canadian operations. He has more than 20 years of experience and acts as a strategic commercial advisor with the executive leadership team and for national operations. He is the Chair of Canada's Opportunity Review Committee and focuses on operational excellence, results, business governance, efficiency and agility. Prior to joining WSP, he served various executive roles at SNC-Lavalin, where he led commercial and risk activities for large business units. He is also a practiced lawyer who began his career as a litigator at a large national law firm before entering the engineering and construction industry. Charles-Olivier graduated from the University of Sherbrooke with a Bachelor of Law and is a member of the Québec Bar.
Tracy Ernsting is the Vice President, Operational Performance, for WSP in Canada. In this role, she is driving performance and efficiency initiatives to deliver enhanced client satisfaction and an industry leading work environment. Over her career, Tracy has led numerous transformational projects including the development, implementation, and migration of management systems. Tracy holds a B. Eng. in Naval Architecture from Memorial University and an MBA from McGill University.
Jennifer Krochak is the Vice President, Special Projects, for WSP in Canada. In her role, Jennifer is a strategic advisor, facilitator, and integrator for the Canadian Leadership Team, driving effective collaboration and decision making while delivering strategic projects for the company. During her career, Jennifer has played a leadership role in the development and delivery of infrastructure projects across Canada. She holds a B.E. in Engineering Physics from the University of Saskatchewan.
Renée Sauriol is Vice President, Marketing and Communications for WSP in Canada. Ms. Sauriol oversees all external and internal communications including brand and marketing and serves as a strategic advisor to executive leadership. She is a highly experienced communications strategist constantly working at creating an inclusive and engaging environment to empower teams and people. She has a wide experience in stakeholder relations, as well as delivering innovative marketing and communications strategies. Prior to joining WSP in Canada, Ms. Sauriol held senior leadership positions at leading organizations in the financial, health care and public utilities industries.
Sébastien Fecteau is WSP’s Regional Executive Leader for Quebec. Responsible for overseeing the company’s strategic growth and operational direction regionally, he supports clients by leveraging his experience in delivering projects across the public- and private infrastructure sectors. Sébastien first joined WSP as a co-op student and throughout his career has progressively advanced to more senior project- and executive-level roles.
Peter Hatcher is Regional Executive Vice President, Western Canada and Territories. Over a 30-year career, Peter has developed an extensive background in operations, management and project delivery of engineering, procurement and construction solutions in the energy, industrial and infrastructure sectors. He has held leadership positions in North America, Europe, the Middle East, Asia Pacific and Australia. He has expertise in leveraging digital/data management strategies and innovative and cost-effective technical solutions for clients.
He is a registered professional engineer in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba and Ontario.
Greg Herasymuik is Business Line Executive, Earth and Environment (E&E) at WSP in Canada, joining the team following the purchase of Golder. Greg was an instrumental leader in Golder’s global operation, responsible for leading the company’s Canadian operation. In his role, he leads an expanding E&E team, dedicated to helping clients meet the evolving demands of climate change, resilience, and sustainability.
Greg brings a wealth of management experience to the Earth and Environment team, having served in a number of leadership positions for more than 15 years of his 30-plus years in the industry. He holds a B.Sc. Geology from the University of Regina and a M.Sc. Geotechnical Engineering from the University of Saskatchewan.
With more than 32 years of professional experience managing a wide variety of linear infrastructure and land development projects, Joe Sframeli operates as WSP’s Business Line Executive Vice President of Transportation and Infrastructure. Joe has extensive experience in all aspects of complex infrastructure work related to site grading, utility infrastructure, stormwater management and site servicing for both private developers and public agencies. His diverse portfolio of projects spans from largescale trunk feedermains to the design of complex integrated site servicing solutions for international luxury hospitality redevelopment projects. Joe has a B.A.Sc., in Civil Engineering from the University of Toronto, Ontario.
Joe’s hands-on approach to problem solving, planning and design is also reflected in his leadership style with both staff and clients. The Transportation and Infrastructure Business Line offers multidisciplinary engineering services related to rail and transit, aviation, marine and ports, tunnelling, bridges, highways, land development, municipal engineering, water and wastewater, transportation advisory services, planning, landscape architecture and urban design, and project management across Canada.
François Lemay is Business Line Executive of Property and Buildings at WSP, recognized as a people-oriented leader with a strong focus on Clients and Employees and a solid understanding of the industry and market trends. He holds a degree in mechanical engineering from the University of Ottawa and is a licensed engineer in Ontario and Quebec. Before joining WSP in 2021, François served as National Vice President, Public Sector – Federal, at SNC Lavalin, managing the strategic growth of a portfolio of federal clients. With 30 years of experience in Property and Buildings consulting, François possesses strategic insight instrumental to growing WSP’s Property and Buildings business to the next level.
Satvinder Flore was appointed Business Executive, Energy, Resources and Industry (ERI) in October 2019. Over his 18-year career, he has held senior-level international executive roles with a focus on business development, strategy, operational planning and mergers and acquisitions in global energy markets. Satvinder holds a BA (Hons) from the University of York (England).
