“Ashok’s longstanding dedication to the industry, the National Capital Region and the communities that have been impacted by the projects he’s worked on is unparalleled,” says Francois Lemay, Executive Vice-President, Property and Buildings, WSP in Canada. “I’m so happy to see Ashok get the recognition for his achievements that he so richly deserves.”
During his career, Ashok has been involved in projects throughout the National Capital Region, winning awards for his involvement in key Ottawa landmarks including the Stable Building at Rideau Hall, the Victoria Memorial Museum and the Fleck-Patterson Mansion to name a few. He has also been a frequent contributor to the development of industry standards, such as the CSA Committee A279 in 2008, which was mandated to develop the first Canadian Standard for the Blast Resistant Design of Buildings.
“I’ve had the pleasure of working alongside, and learning from Ashok for years, and it has been an absolute pleasure and privilege,” says Dan Carson, Senior Engineer with WSP in Canada in the National Capital Region. “He is a valued mentor, an incredible resource, and a wonderful gentleman to work with. I’m thrilled to see him honoured with this award.”
