Completed under multiple phases, the project includes a 11,500 SF transportation center that integrates all facets of the transportation network including high-speed passenger rail, conventional intercity rail, commuter rail, suburban, charter and intercity bus systems, automobiles, taxis, limousines, pedestrians and bicycles.
WSP designed commuter parking lots, a 3,800 SF off-street bus terminal, two new passenger boarding platforms, access tunnels, elevators and stairs, two new pedestrian underpasses and a pedestrian bridge. Our team's work includes extensive stakeholder involvement with residents, businesses, local, county, state and federal elected officials and agencies, as well as Metra, Amtrak, PACE, BNSF and UPRR.
