In Canada, upwards of 5,000 of our veterans are currently in need of housing assistance. But one organization is working to help solve that issue, and WSP is playing a key role in providing a solution.
The Homes for Heroes Foundation is working with designers, engineers, and contractors to develop tiny home villages for veterans in cities across Canada. These villages use a small community footprint to not only provide a place to live, but also a number of valuable community services.
With the successful completion of the first two villages, Calgary and Edmonton, the attention now focuses on the development of new projects outside of Alberta. The first, located in Kingston, Ontario, is where our WSP team was able to get involved and provide their support for this invaluable initiative.
