WSP Announces its Commitment to the Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) Program

WSP in Canada is proud to announce its commitment to the Progressive Aboriginal Relations (PAR) program. Established by the Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB), the PAR Program provides a high level of assurance through the independent, third-party verification of company reports on measurable outcomes and initiatives in four performance areas: Leadership Actions, Employment, Business Development, and Community Relations (Engagement and Support).

As a PAR Committed company, WSP is now in the process of undergoing external verification of its performance by CCAB with the goal to become certified at a gold, silver, or bronze level by the beginning of 2023.

WSP’s commitment to PAR continues the company’s efforts to develop relationships with Indigenous Peoples – First Nations, Inuit, and Métis – and communities across Canada through projects that have mutually improved economic opportunity, enhanced education and training and have been delivered in a socially, culturally, and environmentally responsible manner.

WSP will continue to work collaboratively with the CCAB to achieve its certification. The company will continue its work by growing relationships with local Indigenous communities, groups, and experts to enhance our capabilities on projects and to better understand the needs, expectations, concerns and beliefs of Indigenous Peoples.
