WSP in Canada to Provide Technical Advisory Services for the Hamilton LRT Project

WSP in Canada is pleased to announce that it has been subcontracted by AECOM to provide Technical Advisory Services for Metrolinx’s Hamilton Light Rail Transit (LRT) project.

Commencing in 2023, WSP in Canada’s rail and transit team will provide strategic guidance on how best to deliver the new 14-kilometre line, which will run from Eastgate Square to McMaster University through the downtown core.

WSP in Canada’s advisory role will include a number of services, which will help Metrolinx in moving forward the project, which is set to provide Hamiltonians with reliable access to important destinations throughout the city.

Beyond the 17-stop, 14-kilometre transit line, the project is expected to result in the transformation of both private and public utilities throughout the corridor, intended to provide even greater benefits for Hamiltonians. Coupled with the light rail transit system, this will provide the infrastructure and resources needed for the sustainable growth of the community for years to come.
