Based in Vancouver, British Columbia, Scott joined Levelton Consultants Ltd. in May 2004 where he worked as a materials engineer and manager of the Concrete Technology Group. After the acquisition of Levelton by WSP in July 2015, Scott became the Discipline Lead for Concrete and Construction Materials. During his eight years with the company, his work has focused on growing WSP’s materials engineering capabilities across Canada. His areas of expertise include nearly all aspects of concrete and construction materials engineering. He is a licensed professional engineer in both British Columbia and Ontario.
Scott is an active member of various technical committees, including Canadian Standards Association (CSA) Committees A23.1/A23.2 - Concrete materials and methods of concrete construction / Test methods and standard practices for concrete as well as multiple American Concrete Institute technical committees, including 207 – Mass Concrete, 506 – Shotcrete, and C660 – Shotcrete Nozzleman Certification.
Cumming was among 20 dedicated industry professionals honoured as Fellows of ACI in 2023, and one of just three Canadians. Since its inception in 1973, 611 individuals from across Canada and the United States have been recognized.
