WSP in Canada Welcomes Peter Filato as New Chief Financial Officer

M. Filato brings extensive experience in senior financial roles.

WSP in Canada is pleased to welcome Peter Filato as its new Chief Financial Officer. Peter joined the WSP team on October 23rd, based out of the company’s Montreal office.

Most recently, M. Filato was the CFO at Telecon, a leading telecom network design and construction firm and connectivity services provider. Peter has over 25 years of experience in finance, starting as an auditor, eventually moving into various finance roles at SNC-Lavalin and later moving to Alcan. After his time at Alcan, Peter joined Gildan Activewear where he spent 13 years, eventually becoming the CFO-Manufacturing and leading teams in finance, IT, procurement and legal.

He has led several acquisitions and ERP implementations, including adopting the Lean Six Sigma methodology for which he is a certified black belt.

Peter holds a Bachelor's degree and a Post-Graduate Diploma in Accountancy, both earned at Montreal’s Concordia University.
