WSP Secures Ontario Line Elevated Guideways and Stations Contract

The company will act as the design lead for the Trillium Guideway Partners consortium.

WSP in Canada, along with its project team members from the Trillium Guideway Partners consortium, has been selected to design and build the Ontario Line Elevated Guideways and Stations (EGS) contract.

One of several projects that will ultimately deliver the new Ontario Line subway, running from the Eglinton Crosstown LRT (Line 5) at Don Mills Road to Exhibition/Ontario Place, the EGS project includes the development of several key pieces, including: three kilometres of an elevated guideway, five elevated stations, one emergency exit building, interface with the maintenance and storage facility, and interfaces with Eglinton Crosstown LRT Line 5.

The 15.6-kilometre Ontario Line is a stand-alone rapid transit line, with 15 stations that will help connect riders to key destinations throughout the city. The new line will connect to more than 40 existing transit networks, including bus, light rail, subway, streetcar, and regional rail services.
