WSP supported Schneider Electric in the delivery of its industrial decarbonization programme in Poland, including energy audits based on the client’s global decarbonization strategy and the development of projects enabling the implementation of low-carbon technical solutions. 

City Rail Link (CRL) is the largest and most complex transport infrastructure project ever undertaken in Aotearoa New Zealand. As part of Link Alliance, WSP has worked with City Rail Link Ltd and Link Alliance members to help deliver a twin-tunnel underground rail link through central Auckland, including new stations at Te Waihorotiu and Karanga-a-Hape and a redeveloped Maungawhau station. The project will transform how people move through Tāmaki Makaurau, increasing rail capacity, improving access to the city centre and wider region, and enabling faster, more frequent and better-connected journeys.

Unique heating and ventilation solutions for plasma-based medicine production plant 

WSP is undertaking design and engineering services for the construction of a new mental health facility on the grounds of Rotorua Hospital in New Zealand. The existing Whare Whakaue facility, which is over four decades old and in poor condition, has been hindering the delivery of quality care.

WSP was engaged by Forestry Innovation Investment in BC to develop a tool to help promote the benefits of using mass timber. The tool, timberX, provides early-stage insights (carbon intensity, cost, bay-weight, structural depth) for developers, architects and engineers and displays the trade-offs in these criteria with steel and concrete structural systems.

Lexica, member of WSP, led healthcare planning for Hamad Medical Corporation’s clinical and facilities masterplans, with a particular focus on its flagship Tertiary care campuses, Al Daayan and Hamad Bin Khalifa Medical City   in Doha, Qatar – one of the largest planned healthcare projects in the Middle East. The masterplan vision is to provide world class patient care and experience while meeting future demand in future-ready facilities designed to respond to changing requirements of the health service in an agile manner.

A flagship project to modernise heating and ventilation at Copenhagen City Hall will achieve heating energy savings of 80%, demonstrating the contribution historic buildings can make in the transition to net zero. 

WSP’s placemaking and street design specialists helped deliver a major transformation of Strand Aldwych, converting one of London’s busiest and most congested roads into a new 7,000m2 pedestrian space. This makes the area a destination in its own right and an economic and social hub.
