A new report developed by WSP energy experts examines options for airports to support their energy needs as they transition from fossil fuels to sustainable energy mixes.
Titled “Transitioning to a Sustainable Energy Mix at Airports,” the report is a Q&A that explains how airports can achieve a sustainable energy mix, which prioritizes both decarbonization and minimizing environmental impacts.
The Q&A also considers applications for alternative energy solutions, as well as strategies for improving overall energy self-reliance and mitigating the potential impacts on open spaces and existing airport infrastructure.
It is authored by Steve Kiser, senior vice president and global energy lead at WSP; Anthony Ciccone, vice president of global nuclear sector; and Sagar Kancharla, director of energy transition advisory and investments.
