WSP, one of the UK’s leading engineering professional services consultancies, has strengthened its regional planning consultancy teams across the Midlands and North-West of England.
Nigel Harris has joined WSP’s Planning Consultancy and will be based at the firm’s office in Birmingham’s iconic Mailbox. As a Director, Nigel will collaborate alongside other senior colleagues in the planning consultancy team to help shape the future strategic direction of WSP’s national planning consultancy offer.
Nigel is a Chartered Town Planner with over 34 years’ experience in town planning in both the private and public sector. His most recent roles were with Boyer as a Director, at Knights as a Partner and a Director at Pegasus Planning. Prior to this he was Planning Director at David Wilson Homes and Wilson Bowden Developments. Nigel also holds vast experience of the public sector having worked in a number of town planning services for Harborough, Rutland, and Stafford District Councils.

Andrew Teage has joined WSP’s Planning Consultancy in Liverpool as a Director, continuing the growth of the team in the North-West with a market focus on Merseyside and adjoining regions. Andrew will also work with senior colleagues to help shape the future strategic direction of WSP’s national planning consultancy offer.
As a Chartered Town Planner, Andrew has over 20 years’ experience in town planning. Having worked across both the private and public sector, he has experience in delivering a full range of town planning services, from making the strategic case through Spatial Regeneration Frameworks and promoting land and property in plan-making, to the submission and monitoring of planning applications.
