Helsinki’s Kruunuvuori Bridge, designed by WSP in Finland, is one of the world’s longest bridges solely for public transport, pedestrians and cyclists.

At WSP, we’ve advised gas distribution company Cadent as they lead this energy transition project through its lifecycle and to provide a new way to power the UK’s industry and communities. 

WSP has prepared the general and construction plans for the Kirjalansalmi Bridge as well as the road plans for the Kirjalansalmi and Hessundinsalmi bridges. The two new bridges replace aging infrastructure and provide smooth and safe traffic flow.

WSP have been managing the Facilities and Asset Management, and the delivery of the buildings and grounds portfolio of Transpower’s network contract for more than 25 years.

A five-year mountain goat monitoring study associated with Brewster’s Glacier Skywalk in Jasper National Park clearly demonstrates that our WSP team's environmental assessment correctly identified potential impacts from the project and proposed mitigations that worked. The project is built and the mountain goats are present as star attractions.

The limited availability of fish oil along with soaring demand for seafood has made sourcing omega-3 EPA and DHA fatty acids from salmon extremely difficult, with stocks declining by more than a half over the past decade.

A fast-growing town on the outskirts of Sydney is demonstrating that urbanization of greenfield areas need not be chaotic, strained, and unsustainable – and that it can accommodate the needs and wishes of existing and new residents. We worked with the local authority in Wollondilly Shire, to develop a strategy for urban development that makes sure that, as Wilton’s population expands, the health and wellbeing of its residents remains the central focus. Our proposals will prioritize social infrastructure, better transport connections, and stable and affordable housing, while maintaining connections with the town’s traditional farming roots through green space, healthy food, and biodiversity.

WSP USA works with South Florida Water Management District (SFWMD) to balance water supply and ecosystem restoration in the Everglades, to sustain this natural wonder for future generations.

Ramona Gardens is in the top 1% of the most polluted communities in California. Residents suffer disproportionately high levels of respiratory diseases, with children suffering from asthma at twice the state average.  

With erosion in the Kananga area causing large gullies that threaten local infrastructure and pose a risk to communities, we helped the UN design suitable solutions for local contractors to build.

Developing a wind farm is a challenging venture. The developer needs to be supported by a specialist at every stage of the project. In addition to undertaking comprehensive engineering activities, WSP managed construction of a windfarm in Saint-Philémon, a mountainous region in Quebec. We also assisted the client in procurement activities. Having worked in this area previously with other clients, we had an excellent knowledge of this site.
