Building Hope, Building Community with Habitat for Humanity

We marked our third consecutive year of large-scale partnership with Habitat for Humanity, reaffirming a shared commitment to transforming lives and communities across the United States. This year’s initiative spanned 26 cities with 28 build opportunities, mobilizing some 500 volunteers. The reach is truly national, covering 21 states and all WSP’s U.S. business regions.

Since the partnership began, we have contributed a total of $500,000 to Habitat for Humanity, with $200,000 donated in 2025. These funds have directly supported Habitat affiliates, enabling team builds and volunteer initiatives that provide hands-on help for families striving toward homeownership. The combined financial support and active volunteerism have helped build and repair homes, creating pathways to stable, affordable housing for families in need.

Stories of transformation

Our partnership is more than numbers; it’s about real people and real change. Across the country, WSP volunteers have worked side-by-side with Habitat families, helping them achieve the dream of homeownership and create play spaces.

• In Tampa, volunteers helped install insulation in four hurricane-resilient homes that are part of a new community supporting families affected by Hurricane Milton.
• In Boulder, volunteers worked alongside Habitat staff in the organization’s prefab modular home facility, painting, sanding, and framing components for homes that will provide affordable options for Boulder County’s essential workers.
• In Kansas City’s historic Lykins neighborhood, volunteers framed walls and installed decking for a new home, contributing to Habitat’s ongoing neighborhood revitalization efforts that have already resulted in 15 newly built or repaired homes.
• In San Diego, volunteers built custom-themed playhouses for local military families, including ocean- and garden-inspired designs offering safe spaces for children in need.

These stories, echoed in cities from Baltimore to Salt Lake and Detroit to Victoria, illustrate the many ways WSP volunteers have helped Habitat build hope, resilience and opportunity for families across America.
