WSP provided engineering support to the project as it moved ahead in its pre-construction phase, with a focus on engineering, cost estimating and scheduling.
The multibillion-dollar project is a 240-mile rail line that will connect North Texas and Houston in 90 minutes, with a midway stop in the Brazos Valley. The project will benefit an estimated 50,000 commuters who currently travel between Houston and Dallas-Fort Worth more than once a week, as well as others who make the trip on a regular basis.
WSP joined Fluor Enterprises and the Lane Construction Corporation as the team that will perform pre-construction planning for the mega-project and staffed dozens of full-time personnel on the project.
