WSP has invented an innovative method to improve the structural efficiency of hybrid construction using Cross Laminated Timber (CLT) panels and steel beams, using a system that provides composite action through a very simple construction detail. Andrew Woodward, Director and Head of Industry, explains how this groundbreaking initiative has the potential to transform outcomes on building projects.
