WSP and KPMG appointed to support National Highways' role in OZEV-led strategic charging infrastructure activity.

OZEV's strategic charging infrastructure work is an important step in supporting reliable ultra-rapid EV charging across England's Strategic Road Network. By bringing together expertise across energy, transport, digital advisory, data analytics and programme delivery, we look forward to supporting National Highways with the technical assurance, delivery readiness and evidence-based decision-making needed to strengthen charging provision at key locations and accelerate the transition to zero-emission transport.
National Highways’ Strategic Charging Infrastructure programme will be instrumental in unlocking significant investment in, and deployment of, electric vehicle charging capabilities across the motorway network. Crucially, this includes provisions to accommodate future eHGV charging solutions, supporting the decarbonisation of our freight and logistics sector.
As more drivers and operators switch to zero-emission vehicles, reliable charging and refuelling infrastructure will play a vital role in supporting that transition. We're committed to working with government and industry partners to help accelerate infrastructure provision across England's motorways and major A-roads.
