The multi‑lot framework provides Northern Powergrid with access to specialist engineering expertise to help maintain, upgrade and future‑proof its distribution network. Through the framework, WSP will support the client across areas including Design, Planning, Engineering and Commissioning, contributing to the safe, reliable and resilient operation of the region’s power infrastructure.

The appointment represents a significant milestone for WSP’s Energy business, reflecting the strength and breadth of its networks engineering capabilities. WSP will drawing on its multidisciplinary expertise in electricity distribution network system studies and planning; design and asset management; digital engineering; and project management, engineering and commissioning services to support Northern Powergrid in delivering its investment and customer plans.
