Rural Services

We work in partnership with heartland businesses, farmers, and growers to manage their natural resources, particularly water, in a way where rural enterprise, communities, and environments are able to co-exist.

Our rurally focused ‘Water for Agriculture’ team is made up of pragmatic, capable people who understand that rural businesses are a way of life, not just a job.

WSP has been involved in the development of much of the infrastructure in heartland New Zealand for generations through our Ministry of Works roots.

We work for a diverse range of clients, from small privately owned enterprises and farms, through to large corporate or government entities.

Our regionally based rural team includes project managers, civil, geotechnical, mechanical and electrical engineers, surveyors, scientists and planners.  This team of respected industry specialists has also been the extensively involved in developing best practice guidelines within primary industries such as the IPENZ practice notes for DairyNZ and the New Zealand Irrigation Design Code of Practice.

We can provide you with:

  • Extensive experience in managing diverse and technically challenging projects from planning and design through to construction & operation performance improvement
  • Qualified and experienced staff from a wide range of professions to be able to provide a one-stop shop
  • Conveniently located offices countrywide
  • The ability to provide commercially independent and consistently high quality service.
