Run annually, Randstad's survey explores peoples' perceptions of employer brands. It's based on the responses of over 4,300 members of the public.
WSP Managing Director Ian Blair says WSP is honoured to have again earned fifth position.
"We've now been featured among the country's most attractive employers for several years running. This is testament to our awesome team and the positive reputation we have as an organisation. We work hard every day to try and make a difference in Aotearoa and it’s that sense of purpose that helps make us a great place to work.
"We believe our success hinges on the environment we create for the team. An environment where our team can bring their whole selves to work and unleash their creativity to address society's most pressing infrastructure and environmental challenges.”
"Our 2,500-strong team comprises clever, capable people who are dedicated to shaping a better future for Aotearoa. We have a strong focus on career advancement, with 20 percent of staff, on average, being promoted each year.
"We prioritise inclusivity, diversity, empowerment, and a supportive atmosphere, ensuring our employees thrive. Our own internal staff surveys show our people highly value their autonomy and the support they get from their leaders.
Ian says WSP isn't resting on its laurels when it comes to making WSP a great place to work.
“The work we're doing to develop a motivated and engaged workplace culture has been years in the making. It's iterative, continuous, and will remain a strong focus.
"By continuing to invest in our people and building an inclusive culture, we're proud to be creating an environment - now and into the future - where people can be their best."
Randstad New Zealand Country Director Richard Kennedy congratulates WSP on again being named fifth most attractive employer in 2024. He says it's more important than ever for companies to manage their employer brand which helps elevate their reputation and ensure they continue to attract and retain talent.
"The achievement of WSP in being named one of the country’s most attractive employers reinforces how an authentic and consistent approach can help an organisation gain a competitive advantage during challenging times.”
