This unique building with its record-breaking skybridge needed new feats of engineering and a strong focus on sustainability to achieve its vision.

WSP is undertaking design and engineering services for the construction of a new mental health facility on the grounds of Rotorua Hospital. The existing Whare Whakaue facility, which is over four decades old and in poor condition, has been hindering the delivery of quality care.

Our team has undertaken a rigorous process of seismic assessment, design, and monitoring of strengthening options over the course of several years. Despite the challenge of working within an operational hospital, we were able to adapt and implement effective solutions to improve the building's seismic performance.

The first public art museum in Australia to achieve a 6-star Green Star design rating. WSP worked with Atelier Ten and the Art Gallery of New South Wales during the design phase to ensure ecologically sustainable design outcomes were achieved.

WSP worked with Ashby Capital and Janson Urban to reuse and grow the existing structure of the Kensington Building, which created larger more effective retail and office spaces while reducing carbon emissions from construction. 

210 George Street is a landmark office development designed by Grimshaw for developer Poly Global. The building is a 27 storey office tower with every other floor set back from the façade line to create internal double height communities.

With its striking cantilever over the heritage listed Firehouse Hotel, this 50-storey mixed-use tower is the tallest building in North Sydney. The team adopted innovative servicing strategies to deal with the condensed floorplates and stringent sustainability targets to ensure the successful delivery of this iconic commercial and hotel tower.

We are leading the engineering consortium for Adelaide’s New Women’s and Children’s Hospital, which will be 100 per cent electrified.

Upgrade of the spinal unit, which caters to very vulnerable patients, was an important milestone in post-earthquake rehabilitation for the Burwood community.

The new church was proposed to replace an existing damaged church on the same site, which was badly damaged in the Christchurch earthquakes, and provide a place of worship for over 200 parishioners. It was also proposed to work in with an existing Parish Centre on the site which was undamaged in the earthquakes and the Parish wished to retain.
