Wairoa DC
Canary is helping Wairoa District Council (WDC) in preparing for and optimising inspections across their infrastructure, including bridges, roads, and seismic events. By utilising weather forecast information an d observational data, Canary enables WDC to prepare for inspections before rainfall events, ensuring readiness to address potential risks. After rainfall events, Canary optimises inspections by determining when they are necessary, eliminating the guesswork and ensuring that inspections are only conducted when required, saving resources and focusing efforts where they are most needed.
Additionally, Canary's roading module helps WDC forecast and prepare for likely damage events, and prioritise network inspections post-event. This module uses trigger thresholds to guide responses based on the potential severity of the event. The seismic module further enhances WDC's capabilities by providing real-time notifications and visual insights for asset inspection triage following seismic events. This module overlays shaking intensity with assets, determining if predetermined thresholds have been met and triggering alerts or flagging assets on the dashboard.
