With the chance to design our own offices opposite the sprawling Hagley Park in Christchurch, we looked to the surrounding environment and brought a dream to life by creating an urban ‘tree house’, incorporating the tranquility of nature and innovative technologies.

In 2012, a  Christchurch Central Recovery Plan was developed with a vision to reinvigorate Christchurch and bring more people back to the area, further encouraging greater investment and economic growth. The Te Pae Christchurch Convention Centre is a part of this changing landscape and will be a catalyst for further development of the city centre.

WSP Architecture worked in a joint venture partnership with Chow Hill Architects Ltd (Auckland) on the design brief, design, documentation and construction management of the new Christchurch Women’s Hospital and Day Surgery Unit.
