Chris leads WSP’s team of project managers, engineering managers and engineers in the Rail Stations team in Scotland and North of England.
He is responsible for winning and delivering Projects as well as the growth and development of the team.

Chris is a Fellow and Chartered Civil Engineer with extensive experience in Interface Management and management of Stakeholders.
He has worked in Design Management, Integration Management, Project Management, Design Construction Support, Design Assurance and Design Team Leader Roles for WSP.

Prior to joining WSP Chris was the Design Manager for the £740M Edinburgh Tram Scheme and had intimate knowledge of all elements of the design and construction, supporting the client and the contractor. He has extensive Light Rail experience through projects both nationally and internationally, having been part of teams in Qatar, Denmark and Israel as well as the UK.

David McAlister

Dave McAlister is the Chief Development Officer at WSP USA and is the Global Director, Transport and Infrastructure for the Corporation.

Mr McAlister was previously Parsons Brinckerhoff's Director of Corporate Development. Mr McAlister joined Parsons Brinckerhoff in 1981 as a trackwork design engineer, and held a variety of technical and management positions within the firm. He also served as Managing Director—Europe/Africa/Middle East, and Director of Operations—Americas for Parsons Brinckerhoff. He has also served as Principal-in-Charge on several major projects, including large-scale transportation programs. Mr McAlister holds a B.S. in civil engineering from Bucknell University.

Mike Jenkins

Mike is the WSP Director – Rail Projects and is accountable for the delivery of major rail projects in Australia and New Zealand.

He brings a wealth of national experience combined with earlier involvement in international projects such as the West Coast Route Modernisation Project (UK) and the Jubilee Line Extension (UK). Many of these involved the management of award-winning multi-disciplinary design and construction project teams, covering all phases of projects from inception and enabling works to commissioning and operation.

Since returning to Australia in 2007, Mike has been influential in helping shape the direction of many transport infrastructure projects in the region, through briefing Government Ministers through to providing project governance and leadership under various contracting models, including Technical Advisory, Alliancing and Design and Construct Delivery. He offers extensive knowledge of systems engineering and systems integration, combined with experience delivering high-profile rail infrastructure projects at all stages of the project lifecycle.

Sam McWilliam

Sam is the National Executive of WSP’s Rail business with over 18 years’ experience.

She is a high achiever driven to lead and motivate large successful multidisciplinary teams. An engineer by training, Sam loves to apply her problem solving skills in combination with her unflappable demeanour and a healthy dose of humour to getting the best results out of her teams.

Since joining WSP in 2004 Sam has worked throughout Australia and South East Asia on several, city shaping transport projects.and has contributed to several major transport projects, including Sydney Metro Northwest, City and Southwest and West, WEX/CRL and CRE and the South Island Line East Project in Hong Kong.

Sam’s early career was focused on tunnelling and underground structures where she designed and delivered underground spaces on several large D&C projects and gained significant experience in rock mechanics, excavation design, tunnel contracting and procurement. After this, her career expanded to include design lead and management roles on multidisciplinary projects, with a focus on rail, metro and underground station delivery.

Tom is a Programme Manager with over 25 years of experience working in the design and construction Industry.

In this time, he has gained a wide range of experience successfully delivering some of the UKs largest complex multidisciplinary infrastructure programmes. He is used to managing large integrated multidisciplinary teams formed from across the supply chain, while interfacing with executive level officials and third parties from both the public and private sector.

His broad experience through the full project lifecycle from inception design, funding, PMO, procurement, construction, transition to operation and overall project and programme management have equipped him with knowledge and experience in, process, interfaces and risks/opportunities to be controlled in order to successfully deliver positive outcomes for the capital investment.

Having achieved major success for clients, Tom always striving for continuous improvement through collaborative engagement with the whole team. Utilising the opportunities that come from major programmes of works, to harness live experiences and immediately reap benefits, while also considering how they can be scaled and replicated to be used for similar projects and programmes across a wider portfolio.
