In a first for Melbourne, WSP applied innovative structural engineering techniques to grow this inner city building in Melbourne to one of the tallest timber building extensions in the world. By using the latest in timber construction technology, WSP designed to use cross laminated timber (CLT) to transform the existing six-storey building by adding a 10-storey hotel.

We helped deliver Q Building – the first mass timber structure in Newcastle, and Regional NSW’s first 6 star rating as recognised by the Green Building Council of Australia. 

WSP worked with Ashby Capital and Janson Urban to reuse and grow the existing structure of the Kensington Building, which created larger more effective retail and office spaces while reducing carbon emissions from construction. 

WSP worked with Empire State Development and numerous other stakeholders in the Penn Station vicinity to advance the Moynihan Train Hall.

WSP were involved in the early design of the documentation of the Greenland Tower up to 2015 which entailed rigorous regulatory requirements and heritage challenges for Sydney’s tallest residential tower.

We have played a key role in transforming an under-utilised part of Melbourne’s central business district, to create a vibrant urban community with the iconic dual tower, known as Collins Arch.

As part of the City of Sydney’s ambition to reach net zero emissions by 2035 we have played a key role in demonstrating ways to drive down GHG emissions in the built environment in Greater Sydney.

We were responsible for mechanical and electrical design as well as analyses for the needs of the BREEAM certification process for a new office building in Łódź.

We were responsible for structural, mechanical and plumbing design for Fabryczna Offices investment: a modern business complax that will be raised in the place of former Centrum hotel.

WSP Sustainability team was involved in BREEAM International Office certification for EQlibrium office building located in Warsaw.

We wereinvolved in mechanical, electrical and fit-out designs for all stages of this modern office complex in Cracow.

The former bar and, later on, home to restaurants and a gym, will now serve as Warsaw Architecture Pavilion.
