WSP’s team of world-leading experts in MEP design for tall towers have been providing building systems consultancy for some of the tallest towers in Asia, including Shanghai Tower, China’s tallest building. Our MEP engineers have also worked on projects such as 432 Park Avenue and 55 Hudson Yards in New York, 22 Bishopsgate and South Quay Plaza in London, Entisar Tower in Dubai and the iconic Petronas Towers in Kuala Lumpur.
Sustainable Building Services
Our experts prioritize resource-efficient technologies to minimize energy and water consumption such as renewable energy, passive cooling, grey water recycling, combined heat and power solutions and intelligent control systems. Our designs regularly exceed the requirements of local building standards.
WSP provided building services engineering for the multipurpose sustainable Mercedes-Benz Stadium in Atlanta, and are supporting the client’s target of a LEED Platinum rating. We also worked on Dell Children’s Medical Center in Austin, the world’s first hospital to achieve Platinum-level LEED accreditation. Our designers cut net energy use by 50% in comparison to a similarly occupied building in the same climatic conditions. For Fondation Louis Vuitton in Paris, our design enabled energy-savings and eliminated all visible grilles and pipework in order to meet the architect’s aesthetic requirements.
Integrated End-to-End Approach
We offer expertise across the entire project life cycle, from technical advice, analysis, surveys and system design, to commissioning, construction supervision and whole-life cost analysis.
We draw on our global expertise to achieve cutting-edge solutions, while delivering locally to ensure compliance with local regulations and standards. Our clients value our imaginative thinking, excellent service, innovation and resourceful application of sophisticated design technology, including the latest software and analytical tools.
Specialists in Every Engineering Field
Our expertise covers every aspect of MEP engineering. Our electrical engineers’ expertise ranges from energy usage analysis, electrical installations and power systems, to resilient utility network design.
Mechanical engineering is an important aspect of our integrated offering, including heating, ventilation and air conditioning (HVAC); computational fluid dynamics (CFD) modelling; rainwater and waste disposal systems; environmental control; building automation systems and controls; energy master-planning; and air filtration, among others.
Our specialists understand that plumbing engineering is essential in preserving public health and provide solutions ranging from design of potable water systems in high-rise buildings to pharmaceutical grade water for injection (WFI) systems; and from gas systems distributed throughout hospitals to buildings waste collection and treatment systems.
