The AWEI is Australia’s definitive national benchmark on LGBTQ+ workplace inclusion. It is the largest and only national employee survey designed to measure the overall impact of inclusion initiatives on organisational culture as well as identifying and non-identifying employees.
WSP has received Bronze recognition (for 2023-2026) from the AWEI. Achieving this accreditation places us at the forefront of our clients and recognises our commitment to diversity and inclusion, led by our VIBE community. You can find the full list of bronze firms here.
Fiona Sheppard, Inclusion & Diversity Lead, says, “WSP is proud to achieve this accreditation. It is reflective of the dedication for our VIBE Employee Resource Group. By focusing on the inclusion of our LGBTQ+ colleagues we’re creating a welcoming workplace culture where everyone feels comfortable, safe, and confident to be themselves.” The aim of the Visibility and Inclusion in the Built Environment (VIBE) employee network is to provide a space for LGBTQ+ employees to bring their whole selves to work as well as support allies to be part of the journey. Since the beginning of the year, the VIBE network has hosted 30+ events nationally, donated $3500+ to LGBTQ+ organisations and helped 800+ employees complete ally training.
WSP is also proud to be a coffee cart sponsor of the upcoming annual Pride in Practice conference, the only national conference that is dedicated to LGBTQ+ inclusion across Australian workplaces. The conference will be held on the 27th – 29th of November at Allianz Stadium, Sydney. For more information, please visit the conference website.
