Online and face to face stakeholder consultation
Elton Consulting, now part of WSP, provided facilitation and technical support for 20 online stakeholder briefings for the Infrastructure Australia Plan 2021. This was provided over a three-month period during 2021.
In addition to this role, we supported Infrastructure Australia on their Regional Strengths and Infrastructure Gaps analysis project by designing, facilitating and reporting on over 50 workshops with Regional Development Australia areas across the country.
Our team travelled across the nation to facilitate sessions that empowered stakeholders with diverse interests, backgrounds and capabilities to participate, ask questions and interrogate the content, maximising the efficacy and advocacy of the plan and report.
Helping shape the nation’s infrastructure
Infrastructure Australia is the nation’s independent infrastructure advisor. They provide research and advice to governments, industry and the community on the infrastructure investments and reforms that will benefit all Australians.
The 2021 Australian Infrastructure Plan (AIP) is being developed in response to extensive engagement with stakeholders, and the recommendations of the 2019 Infrastructure Audit, which identified 180 challenges and opportunities across the Nation’s infrastructure sectors. The plan is due for release mid-2021.
The Regional Strengths and Infrastructure Gaps project is a new focus for Infrastructure Australia and aims to provide a national view of regional strengths and infrastructure gaps to identify areas for future planning and analysis, and in support of the national infrastructure solution and reform pipeline.
