Western Sydney International (Nancy-Bird Walton) Airport

Western Sydney was identified as a priority in the NSW Government’s A Metropolis of Three Cities – The Greater Sydney Region Plan which envisions a Western Parkland City propelled by a thriving Airport and Western Sydney Aerotropolis that will help to create an estimated 200,000 new jobs. Western Sydney International Airport will provide a long term and diverse source of economic activity, as well as improving access to domestic and international aviation services for the region.

WSP is providing certification for the Design & Construction Services for the client, Western Sydney Airport.. This includes certification of the bulk earthworks, pavement works, terminal and specialty works and landside civils and buildings.

We were previously engaged by the Department of Infrastructure, Transport, Cities and Regional Development to undertake a 40-year strategic road infrastructure study to assess the current and future road network requirements, within 5km of the airport that would support the Western Sydney International over the short, medium and long term.
