New leadership to guide the energy transition of our clients

WSP is excited to welcome Felicity Galluzzo to the firm as our new Director of Energy.

Felicity says “In this role, I’m excited to guide Australia through the energy transition, which impacts all sectors and industries.

“All organisations and asset owners are on their own unique transition journey, and I look forward to collaboratively working with our clients on future ready solutions for their future energy mix.”

Driven by the global imperative to reduce emissions and the need for more reliable, cheap energy sources – Australia is experiencing a rapid and irreversible energy transition. A critical aspect of this is the need to implement an integrated system plan (ISP) to deliver more renewables, transmission and storage solutions.

Paul Williams, Director of Mining and Energy, says, “The Australian energy sector is critical in accelerating the transition to net zero and become a leading provider of renewable energy across the country and globe. I’m excited to have Felicity leading our energy business to support our clients, including mining and heavy industrial sectors, implement their decarbonisation strategies and energy transition.”

Felicity, who is highly experienced in the energy and power sectors, comments, “In Australia, we need to modernise the grid and provide more renewables, more transmission and storage.

“In terms of growth, there are big opportunities in transmission as well as in areas such as offshore wind and pumped hydro. With our local Changemakers, impressive global resources and Future Ready framework, WSP has unrivalled expertise to accelerate that element of the energy transition and solutions,” she concludes.
