WSP in Australia has entered into an agreement to acquire e2m, a Queensland-based ecology and environmental consultancy.
A business of over 60 employees, e2m has a strong reputation as a specialist firm that is renowned for blending deep science, technological innovation, customised systems, with people at the centre.
The proposed acquisition represents an important step in WSP's growth strategy and would create additional value for WSP’s clients across Australia through access to enhanced ecological, biodiversity, and environmental services.
e2m is recognised for its expertise in ecology and environmental advisory services, and shares WSP's commitment to helping clients address complex environmental challenges and deliver positive outcomes for communities.
Completion of the transaction remains subject to regulatory approvals and other customary closing conditions. Until then, WSP and e2m will continue to operate as separate businesses, with no change to the services provided to clients, partners and projects.
“This proposed acquisition of e2m is aligned with our 2025-2027 Australian Strategic Activation Plan to strengthen our position in core markets and expand capability to support high-growth sectors,” said Greg Kane, President and Managing Director, WSP in Australia. “We are excited about the opportunity for e2m to join WSP, as its expertise and strong client relationships are highly complementary to our existing business, and would deepen our ability to deliver more integrated, practical outcomes for clients.”
“Like WSP, e2m is focused on bringing together technical rigour and human acumen to deliver high-quality outcomes that help clients navigate project complexity,” said Scott Baker, Chief Executive Officer, e2m. “Joining forces with WSP would enable us to continue delivering the personalised environment and ecology service we are known for, while providing our clients with access to a broader network of expertise, capability and support.”
