350 Queen Street, also known as Queens Place Melbourne, is on the verge of Flagstaff Hill, the city’s highest point. The distinctive 80-storey twin towers will enliven and enrich the character of Melbourne's Queen Victoria Market Precinct, which is currently being redeveloped in the CBD.
The five podium levels of Queens Place will have a variety of uses such as retail, childcare, carparking and commercial suites.
Partnering for Success
WSP has provided ongoing structural and civil engineering services for this high-rise project. Working with the developer and the architectural design and consultant teams, we have devised a master plan for the site.
The design process gave rise to a concept that enriches the ground plane, creating new connections in an enhanced public realm within the Queen Victoria Market Precinct. Atop the podium level, the two towers are shaped and sculpted to complement other buildings within and around the site.
Enriching an Iconic Destination
Using a collaborative approach, our intent is to form a distinctive high-rise urban village in Australia’s most liveable city. Construction started in January 2018 with an estimated completion date of 2020.
