As part of a major development initiative called Sydney 2010, the University of Sydney sought to redevelop the USYD Central Building and create a new gateway for the education institution. The project includes a 3,500 m2 public plaza, 1,000 m2 of retail, 7,500 m2 of student services and a bridge linking the Camperdown and Darlinghurst campuses. The building had to bring together various existing and disparately located facilities. Our client sought high sustainability standards for the development.
